We hope he is ok as well & we will update everyone once we have details. Do you know if either team filled out a incident report or reported the incident to city staff at the fields?

hey man im the captain for the Expos. Thanks for your concern the Eagles are a classy team and its always fun to play against you guys. Chuck the pitcher is out for the year so i brought in one of my spares to fill in his spot. he had a severe concussion but hes in good spirits. I could tell both teams were shaken up but Chuck told us to continue with the game. good luck the rest of the season Eagles

also an incident report was given to the field crew right after it happend. i hope next year all captains including me consider talking to the league about pitchers wearing helmets. theres been a few close calls with line drives back to the mound and i support pitchers wearing helmets for next season. what do you all think?

im glad to hear Chuck is alright.ive known him for a few years, always fun to play against him.even though i wasnt there(i had to work)i got the info after it happened.our batter who hit that ball feels terrible.im all for pitchers wearing headgear, too many close calls, espescially with the utrip bats which everyone is using.get well Chuck, hope to see you at the diamonds again real soon.

Chuck is doing alright. But still having some post concussion symtoms. He's out for the year sadly, but luckily we have a spare who can pitch!

Poor guy has been battered and bruised a few times this season. But he's alright!

pitchers wearing protection is a good idea however i dont think it should be manditory as i know some pitchers including our own dont like wearing them and are very comfertable with balls coming back at them.. there is nothing in the rules to prevent any pitcher from wearing a mask or whatever right now so if your pitchers are feeling concerned about it they can wear them now

should i just walk off

Agree with Brizz, pitchers can wear protection now. I don't think it needs to be mandatory but understand the concern. Glad to hear your pitcher is doing ok, and hopefully he only gets better.
